How to Play 404desk

404desk is a browser game for short team breaks. After joining a workspace, open the games for the day and play at your own pace. Runs in progress can be resumed after refresh or after closing the browser, but completed, failed or expired runs cannot be replayed.

Objective

Play the daily set, earn Aura, keep a streak going, and add to your team’s private lore without pretending any of it is real productivity.

Controls and interaction

Daily Chaos uses ordinary buttons or radio choices. Word accepts typed guesses or the on-screen keyboard. Trace is played by dragging or tapping through adjacent cells. Mini Sudoku uses cell selection plus the on-screen number pad, with keyboard support for numbers and arrow navigation.

Scoring

Participation in Daily Chaos gives Aura. Word rewards solving the five-letter puzzle and gives a smaller completion reward when it is not solved. Trace and Mini Sudoku reward completion and efficiency, with validation performed on the server.

Progression and restarts

Daily puzzles are date-based. Once a run is completed, failed or expired, that run is closed. Word has six attempts; Trace and Sudoku can be resumed while still in progress. Streaks count consecutive logical days.

Basic tips

Use Word feedback carefully, avoid painting yourself into a corner in Trace, and in Mini Sudoku check each row, column and 2 by 3 block before using a hint.
