404desk — Productivity Not Found
404desk is a free browser game where teams take a short break from work to answer a Daily Chaos prompt, solve compact puzzles, earn fictional Aura and create tiny inside jokes. It runs in the browser: no software installation is needed to play.
The main game remains the first stop. Create a workspace, invite your team, and use the daily games as a small ritual rather than a productivity metric.
About the game
404desk is built around short daily rounds for private workspaces. A team can play Daily Chaos, Word of the Day, Trace and Mini Sudoku. Results stay inside the company workspace, and the game explicitly avoids using answers as performance, HR or productivity signals.
Players earn Aura for participation and completion, can appear in leaderboards when enabled by the workspace, and can submit moderated community prompts for future chaos.
How to play
Create or join a team workspace, open the daily games, and choose a game. Daily Chaos is a quick social prompt. Word of the Day gives six attempts to find a five-letter word. Trace asks you to connect ordered checkpoints across a grid without revisiting cells. Mini Sudoku uses a 6 by 6 board with 2 by 3 blocks.
Scoring and combos
404desk uses Aura as fictional prestige. Participation gives Aura, correct or completed games can add more, streak milestones can unlock one-time rewards, and some powers spend Aura for playful effects. Transfers and power costs are not treated as professional performance.
Tips
Start with the quick Daily Chaos prompt if you only have a minute. In Word, use feedback from previous guesses before spending all six attempts. In Trace, follow checkpoints in order and use the hint only when the next legal cells are unclear. In Mini Sudoku, scan rows, columns and 2 by 3 blocks before asking for a hint.
